He was first elected to the board in 1996 and has served as board chairman of Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company, the parent company of the Nationwide organization, since April 2008. |

Meet Gary Douglas, President and Chief Operating Officer Gary A. Douglas is President and Chief Operating Officer of Nationwide Agribusiness Insurance Company and Farmland Mutual Insurance Company. In this capacity, he oversees daily operations of the two insurers who, together, do business as Nationwide Agribusiness. |
